On the mutation of the labor market – cultural centers

An amusing and simple way by which we can see traces of the mutation of the labor market, as the economy recycles and reuses it’s capital, is evidenced by the German Cultural Centers. Their names (Alter Schlachthof, Kofferfabrik, Muffatwerk, Zinnschmelze, Die WebereiZeche Carl, Pumpwerk etc) are testimony to the fact that where people today perform art and enjoy gastronomy (new jobs – new services) their parents used to work their fingers to the bone (old jobs – old products).
