Toll Index takes a dive in April

The Toll Index published today by the IDSC of IZA takes a dive in April indicating that the German Industrial Production Index expected to be published early next month will also take a dive in the same month. The average of the Toll Indices lost 14.6% month over month and 3.7% year over year. The Incoming and Outgoing Index seems to have lost more of their value compared to the kilometer and trip indices something which is in line with the general austerity policies in the euro zone.

PS on 09.06.2012: The monthly German industrial production index lost 12.3% of its value month on month and .74% year on year in the month of April. These results are of course only preliminary. See the BMWI press release.
